Back To School Blogging and Welcome Back Dave
I'm back at school, finally settled in, and ready to do some blogging on the side. Thankfully, I only have a year and a half to go. I'm already counting down the days. Graduating is my priority but I can't help but set my academic schedule around the migrant rights movement whenever possible.
I'm going to take care of some housekeeping in the next few posts, but before I do I want to welcome David Bennion back to Citizen Orange.

I don't have words to describe how happy I am to have Dave back and blogging
at Citizen Orange. In migrant rights politics, Dave and I are kindred souls. Our approach is consubstantial, or of the same essence,
in a way that is remarkable to find even in the openness of the Internet, where like attracts like.
More times than I can count I've read Dave's posts feeling like he writes exactly what I would have, only better. What more can you ask for in a pro-migrant blogger? When he asked if he could write for Citizen Orange, again, my only regret was that he's not paid to write here. He deserves it, just as many other pro-migrant bloggers do.
I'll leave it at that before I embarass Dave too much more. I hope others are as happy to have him back as I am.

shucks you are making me blush for real! thanks kyle and thanks for inviting me here in the first place back in 2007. and it's funny because i often have the same thought reading your stuff--"that's what i wanted to say, except better!"
also i never really understood organizing until i talked to you, prerna, jill, and the guys at Democracia USA (raul and jonathan) at netroots nation, and worked with you, mo, and the SEIU peeps on herta's campaign. and i'm still a novice, too, still learning the hard way from mistakes.
