Sotomayor - Latino KKK?: Pro-Migrant SanctuarySphere

ANTI-IMMIGRANT TANCREDO SAYS SOTOMAYOR PART OF LATINO KKK at Greg Siskind's Blog. Tancredo seems to be getting worse than ever. How a civil rights group is akin to the KKK is beyond me. Don't think I've been exposed to any stories of La Raza burning crosses in people's yards or lynching whites. Apparently some white conservatives are so scared of a more fair world that they'll resort to anything to keep the status quo.

Bring it On Racist Tancredo! Silly Smear Machine Republicans Like You Who Live in Glass Houses Should NOT Call the Honorable Judge Sotomayor a Racist! at Immigration Talk with a Mexican American.

Racist Tom Tancredo, the guy who called Miami a 3rd world country, the racist who told people in El Paso concerned about a fence dividing up their land to move to Mexico and, to top it off, in March he admitted the Immigration issue IS about Race. In March, Tancredo said, "Throughout history, people who are NOT white Anglo-Saxon have become American by adopting a white Anglo-Saxon culture." He insists all minority immigrants have to become white northern Europeans if they want to assimilate to become Americans. What a racist nutcase!

This is the difference in perceptions between men and women. When a man is "assertive" he is just being aggressive and tough - considered admirable traits in a man. But when a woman is "assertive," well now, she's just being bitchy. It is much tougher for women in the law because of these cultural perceptions and biases.

From Dream Act Texas In Her Own Words - Sotomayor on being a Latina and a Jurist.

...America has a deeply confused image of itself that is in perpetual tension. We are a nation that takes pride in our ethnic diversity, recognizing its importance in shaping our society and in adding richness to its existence. Yet, we simultaneously insist that we can and must function and live in a race and color-blind way that ignore these very differences that in other contexts we laud.

New York Mayor and Numerous NY Companies Endorse the DREAM Act at Dream Act Texas.

New York, NY - Yesterday, eighteen New York City-based businesses and Mayor Michael Bloomberg sent a letter to Senators Richard Durbin (D-IL) and Richard Lugar (R-IN) pledging their full support of the DREAM (Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors) Act and urging passage of the legislation.
