That's a great story, and I hope it gets wide circulation. The way the restrictionist narrative of "dangerous illegalz" has taken hold, it's important for people to tell stories like this about their families to bring the discussion back to reality.
Exactly. I think to often even migrant advocates are willing to concede defending unauthorized migrants in this way. It's so important to have this perspective out there. Can't tell Gustavo Arellano, WHAT PART OF ILLEGAL DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND? He understands it and embraces it for what it is.
