It's Harvest Time!
American Harvest, the non-partisan documentary about migrant farmworkers, American farmers, and the relationship between the immigration debate and our food, is hitting local theaters now! Get into some air-conditioned comfort & see this important film, then get out and enjoy the season's bounty of fruits and vegetables with new eyes.
Rochester, NY: Opening night! Friday, June 6 at the Little Theater, 6:30 p.m. After Saturday, June 7th's 6:30 screening, there will be an opportunity to participate in a
discussion with the filmmaker Angelo Mancuso; Jim Allen, President and
CEO of the
New York Apple Association Inc. (NYAA); and Sister Janet Korn, Social
Justice Awareness Coordinator for Catholic Charities and coordinator of
Project Unity. The Talkback will be lead by Bob Russell, Executive
Director of The Little Theatre and will cover the immigration topic
with an emphasis on the local economy. Tickets are $8 for the movie
screening and the Talkback program.
Montrose, PA: American Harvest shows at the historic Montrose Theater on Wednesday, June 18 at 7:30 p.m. as part of their Local Food and Farms film series. Open Q & A session with Angelo Mancuso to follow the screening.
