I've always liked the color orange and it's meaning has evolved along with my life. I have fond memories of orange smelly markers, and beautiful sunsets on the ocean. When I was in high school orange started evolving into a sort of good luck charm. I would wear it everywhere and it came to sort of symbolize gratitude for the beautiful life that I have been allowed to lead. A few months ago I wrote something along these lines: Orange symbolizes Truth.

I am not speaking of the sort of truth that a journalist or academic seeks out, but the sort of spiritual Truth that Gandhi spoke of in his autobiography "The Story of My Experiments with Truth". In many ways, Truth is the same as Morality, is the same as Religion, is the same as Love, is the same as Unity. This is not the Truth you arrive at through reason. It is the Truth you feel by being deeply in touch with the universe, and to quote MLK, "the universe is on the side of justice". Truth is not God. Truth is like God's Love. If I was the only being in the universe. If I was alone in the darkness, unable to see, unable to hear, unable to smell, taste, or feel, Truth would be my existence.
